Schools Yorkshire Tour Celebration at Leeds Civic Hall
Yesterday, the children celebrated the end of the Schools Yorkshire Tour having represented Barnsley in the event. They even featured on Look North. What a brilliant day and fantastic achievement. Well done, cyclists!
Barnsley Football Champions
The boys have done it again. Year 5/6 Barnsley champions having been undefeated all season. It has been a pleasure working alongside such a talented team where many children are now leaving for secondary school. They have grown as a team and achieved amazing things and I am sure they will continue this in the future at Penistone Grammar School. A very proud teacher. Well done boys and all the best for the future! #PSJPfootball #champions

Schools Yorkshire Tour
Wow! What a day it's been. Today, PSJP got the opportunity to take part in the Schools Yorkshire Tour, inspired by the Tour de Yorkshire, on the Trans Pennine Trail - travelling from Penistone to Thurgoland and returning, covering a total of 7.2 miles. The event was held as a Yorkshire initiative to raise activity levels and promote cycling. A baton travelled across Yorkshire where we got chosen to host the Barnsley leg before it finishes in Leeds on the 27th June. Thank you to the Barnsley Council for providing our children with such a memorable experience. They love their goody bags - not forgetting, their lovely drinks and cookies from Cafe Generation. Well done to all who took part.

Finally, a big thank you to Miss Kennedy for all her hard work and commitment to running training sessions leading up to the successful day.
