Y6 Boys Run Their Way To South Yorkshire Finals

The Y6 Boys team have won the Barnsley Team Cross Country Finals and are now through to the South Yorkshire stage in February 2017. Well done, boys!

The Y5/6 Girls Football Team Make History

Today, the Y5/6 girls football team took part in the Barnsley Finals having qualified earlier in the year. They were in a group against; Holy Trinity, Upperwood, Wombwell Parkstreet and Shawlands. The girls were undefeated throughout their group, winning 3 games and drawing 1. In the semi finals, they showed determination and hunger to win and to their delight, they won 1-0 against Springvale. In the finals, the girls had to dig deep to beat local rivals, Thurgoland, which they did, 1-0. The girls have now been crowned the champions of Barnsley, scoring 7 goals and conceding none. They have now qualified for the South Yorkshire finals held later this year, which is a new record as this has never been achieved before. Well done to all the girl who took part, you were incredible. Thankyou to Miss Kennedy for working hard, training the girls and making them the team they are today. #broughtthetrophyhome #southyorkshire #madehistory
